On the islands it is not possible to bring cars and motorbikes unless special permission that only residents can request. Moving within the Tremiti islands however is not complex and there are several possibilities for travel:
By foot
Generally people walk around the islands and tennis shoes are recommended to walk the paths that lead to the beaches.
By motorboats
The alternative to walking, is moving with rented motorboats or join one of the numerous organized group tours that include motorboat rides through the islands to see and visit the most beautiful points of the Tremiti islands.

Ferries between main islands
The ferries between the major islands are frequent, about every 30 minutes to go from San Domino to San Nicola and vice versa. Night service takes place only in summer or on request at the port of embarkation.

Taxi in San Domino
The taxi service is continuous and very cheap for any destination on the island of San Domino by sharing a minivan with other passengers.
If you have booked an hotel, the hotel bus will be waiting for you just a few meters from the landing of the motorboats.
